We will be adding info here covering all aspects of the game as we have the time. We will begin with the info needed for Free Agency, as that is now the priority.
First of all, read the CBA: nah.boards.net/thread/461/collective-bargaining-agreement
Then, you can browse the rosters, free agents, etc ...
There you will see the following:
Team information: your financial situation, overall team statistics and the draft picks you own.
Team roster: your players. If you click on a players name, his player card will open.
Player ratings: these are the ratings of your players. Do not pay much attention to the shooting ratings (FGI, FGJ and FT), as a bug in the export has those wrong. The rest of the ratings will be described later on.
Depth chart: your team's current depth chart. A detail explanation will be given in the coming days, but you do not have to worry about this until the season starts.
Player stats: a summary of your players stats in the current season (they are also included in the player cards).
Team schedule: your schedule for the upcoming season. If you click on a game, the boxscore will appear. Of course, since the season has not started there are no boxscores yet.
Team finances: you can disregard this as we are not using that info in our league.
Ratings descriptions
FGI: the ability of a player to convert inside shots.
FGJ: the ability of a player to convert mid-range jumpers.
FT:the ability of a player to convert free throws.
FG3: not available in the HTML due to a bug, it is the ability of a player to convert three-pointers (you can use the player career stats for that).
SCR: the ability of a player to create shots by himself. The highest the SCR is, the more shots the player will take. With the same SCR, perimeter players tend to shoot more than big men.
PAS: the ability of a player to make good passes.
HDL: the ability of a player to handle the ball.
ORB: the ability of a player to grab offensive rebounds.
DRB: the ability of a player to grab defensive rebounds.
DEF: the ability of a player to play man-to-man defense, it makes it tougher for opponents to create their shots.
BLK: the ability of a player to alter and block shots.
STL: the ability of a player to get steals, force turnovers and stop drives.
DRFL: the ability of a player to draw fouls.
DI: discipline, the ability of a player to avoid committing fouls.
IQ: the court intelligence of a player.
EN: endurance.
We will be updating this with more info in the coming days.
