Forget Sacramento, it's now Shaqramento The Kings have a new ruler, his name is Shaquille O'Neal. It has been a whirlwind here in SHAQramento as one of the most ready to play rookies has taken up his residence here. Shaquille O'Neal is not just 7'1" and 325 pounds, he is larger than life. Shaquille makes the Kings an instant contender for the playoffs by himself. It's not often that this can be said of a 21 year old rookie joining the GAH. Shaquille has made himself readily available to the media and gives the Kings a player that can be the focus of the team to build around. With the initial announcement that the Kings had selected the center out of LSU, season tickets sold out in a record 30 minutes. Shaquille held a press conference and had some interesting and funny things to say.
When asked what he needed to focus on as a rookie in the GAH, O'Neal had this to say.
"I need to focus on not hurting some of these old men here in the GAH. The league has never seen anyone like me before. I'm like a big truck, you know a Diesel. When I get the ball in the post, I just don't want assault charges against me for the damage the rim and anyone in my way is going to take."
When asked what he predicted for in his first game, Shaquille had the following to say.
"A win. Have you looked at my team? Kenny (Anderson) and I are walking into a team that has the right players to fit our style. We are going to be on the highlight reel nightly. I plan on setting a GAH record for free throw attempts by a rookie! You can't stop the Diesel, you can only try not to get posterized."
When asked who he thinks will be his biggest test, the Diesel had this to say.
"There are some great players in the GAH, but stopping me is 48 minutes of pain and misery. I'm confident in my abilities to go against anyone here in the GAH, no disrespect."
Shaquille went on to say all players should look to increase their life insurance before playing the Kings.
"When I'm on the court, I'm a warrior. I never will play dirty or look to hurt anyone, but when I see the hoop, nothing is going to stop me from getting there."
Shaquille talked about how excited he was to be with the Kings and how things were going to start looking up in Shaqramento this up coming season.

There have been a lot of stars that have gone through Sacramento, but I think this time things might work out a little better. Great foundation for the next 10+ years with Shaq and Anderson.

If the schedule is right..I think it is my Spurs that have to play Shaqramento in back-to-back!! I think I'll put Bruce Bowen on him...to lock him down! ljw SAS
