If this has already been discussed elsewhere, apologies but I couldn't find anything.
I've been pretty absent this season. Actually absent for most of it and barely got a depth chart in after the default one started the season for us. This might sound like a bit of a stupid reason but the schedule of playing one game at home, one away against the same team has completely sucked the life out of this place for me. I just can't get into it or enjoy it and in turn, it makes me not care about checking results.
I can't remember the discussion as to why it was changed (assume errors, double games on nights, etc) but even if the same schedule occurs every year, I prefer the default one. With home stands and away trips, etc. Again, bit simple for scheduling to suck the enjoyment of it from here for me but it's definitely doing that at the moment.
If there were issues with the older ones, can't the default DDS schedule with correct team information be used instead of this home and home stuff?

I know other GM's are enjoying this schedule, and I thought everyone was. But you bring up a point, and I would like to hear what everyone (each and every GM) thinks about this. We are down to a reduced number of GM's, but I still enjoy this league and, since the NLL closed, this is the one in my opinion with the best group of quality GM's (there are other places where at least one third of GM's cannot behave like the adults they're supposed to be). I don't want to lose any more GM's from this core, so we can discuss this (and the same with player happiness) and make the necessary tweaks so everyone feels, at least, comfortable.
As for me, I personally enjoy the current schedule (and Tim did a great job here), as I can plan for my opponent every sim. Open to discussion.

As for me, I personally enjoy the current schedule (and Tim did a great job here), as I can plan for my opponent every sim. Open to discussion. I think what we saw was the last DDS schedule after Hornets/Wolves add were a bunch of things: - long periods of no games in the middle of season - at least a stretch where a team played 4-6 games on one calendar day. If injuries occurred it compounded on the GM to possibly get out the injured player (if a star) that gives zero performance and makes for multiple losses..and maybe increases injury time - Personally the Spurs played an entire EAST team schedule....they played less games against the division and conference they belonged then east coast teams. Not sure if more teams saw this. Definitely want everyones input...as what Manu says, we have a great core of long time GMs, and don't want to lose more. I am with Manu...the makeup of the Spurs makes me need to tweak against the next opponent as I have defensive specialists, and offensive specialists. Matchups I believe played big into my current success. But I also have the time, as I work from home and have my personal pc up and available to look at every sim and make the adjustments. So I like what Tim did. I feel like it's a playoff series every sim...where if you GP well, you might find an advantage a generic GP/depth might not get. Now, people with less time, I don;t think it impacts them negatively......with a given example of Cleasby and the Bulls....he rarely updates a depth chart, and is again wiping the floor with the league. A 3rd thing (besides the two issues brought up so far) was....can we find a way for CPU teams to not make questionable deals/changes....like putting a lottery pick to league (like pistons did with Nick And last year), benching a star for a perennial leaguer (stockton benched for sunvold....cliffrob benched for catledge, reggielewis benched for Quinten)...and maybe the trades they make? I have zero ideas on it.....but difficult to watch it occur. ljw SAS

I have mentioned this in sim threads before but for me I love the new schedule. Regardless of the issues with the default sim schedule I enjoy the feel of a 'series' similar to baseball.
I am not one to mess around editing depth charts (I tend to have 8/9 guys and just run) but I enjoy seeing who we have next versus 3 single games.

I like how it is now, certainly much more than the multi-game-per-day thing we had going on last season, but I'm open to making changes for next season. The only complaint seems to be the home-home every sim being boring, but that's seen as a positive to most, I think, so not sure what we can do. Is there anything else we can do with the schedule (while retaining the single opponent per sim concept) that would spice things up a bit?

Just to clarify, I'm not leaving of going anywhere. I'm a stalwart here and plan to remain.
It's interesting to read others really like the schedule. I guess for one like me who isn't, there will be another who does. You guys make valid points though. You can actually set a plan for a single team so there's some real strategy involved but you really do have to set depth charts fairly often in order to do so. Unfortunately I just don't have as much time as I used to or the desire to do that anymore.
Guess I'll try to have a think about it some more and the positives it brings. Out of curiosity though, I would have thought that all the generic DDS schedules had zero errors. As in the game shipped with default schedules that had zero errors. For a normal schedule, wouldn't it be easier to just modify the exact default team one (assuming they don't have errors)?
