Per CBA on trade restrictions:
3. If a team is over the cap, the difference between incoming and outgoing salaries must be within 25 % of the larger number.
Question on this: Say a team is under the cap....we will say at $44m in cap space used currently. Can a trade like this occur? Flint Tropics trade Jackie Moon ($8m sal) to the Kentucky Colonels for their '95 first round pick.
The trade NOW puts Kentucky over cap....so does it automatically now make the money exchange have to fall into the 25% for this trade to be valid as well? Or since they were under before....that is not an issue?
Thanks in advance! ljw SAS

It has to be within 25 %, unless the team receiving the larger salaries is still under the cap after the trade. Probably a clarification can be added to the CBA.

I got a question too.
During draft day, is there a 60 days restrictions for players involve on or before draft day (or before free agency/renouncement) or they can still be traded again?
Another question is, are expirings cant be traded on or before draft day (or before renouncement/start of free agency) since in another league we were able to do it on the same platform. Thnks in advance commish.

Thnks in advance commish. From the CBA: 4. A traded player must wait a 60-day period to be traded again 5. A player signed as a free agent in the offseason must wait a 90-day period from the start of the regular season until he can be traded 6. A player traded in the offseason cannot be dealt again until December 1st. So a player can't be traded twice in the same off-season.

In addition to what Tim said, once the season is over (Finals), upcoming free agents (expiring contracts) cannot be traded.
