Clippers now 4-6 after losing 3 in a row. Turnovers have been an issue and the youth of the team, partcularly the back court is showing. We are thinking of putting a trade block up but will probably wait a few more sims. We would like to pick up the options on Austin Rivers, Marshon Brooks and Meyers Leonard but can't find the thread to do that and it's probably early to be up.
The Coaches are fairly pleased with the tems play. Sacramento blew the Clippers out of the water but all our other losses have been reasonably close contests.
Brendon Jennings is playing well, 16.5 per game, 7.1 assists per game and 3.5 rebounds. His assists would be higher if Austin Rivers wasn't such a good passer. He's probably the Clippers 2nd best player behind Blake Griffin. Just 23 he has a long career ahead and probably with the Clippers. He'll be a free agent next season and the Clippers have plenty of cap to sign him.
Austin Rivers has really impressed the coaches. Starting at SG he is just averaging 8ppg in 29 minutes. But he shoots a high FG%, plays under control and has been dishing out 5.7 assists per game. He will back Jennings and sub for him if Jennings suffers injury.
Alonzo Gee has surpassed our expectations. He's contributed 13.7 ppoits per game, 5.7 rebounds and shows good passing ability getting 1.5 assists per game. We like him a lot and see him as securing the SF spot at this point. Will add Blake and Roy later. Kido's calling.
