After the news of NAH coming to form, the Brooklyn Nets have decided to make a change in their front office. The Nets fired General Manager Billy King and brought in Dylan Mendelowitz to fill the position. This comes as quite the surprise, after King had recently been signed to a three year extension and put together an incredible team that consisted of future hall of famers Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, along with all-stars Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez. Owner Mikhail Prokhorov has been known to do whatever it takes to win, and this is a move he felt the team needed to make.
"Given the news of the NAH coming to form, our team has decided Dylan is the best man for the job of general manager for the Brooklyn Nets. We would like to think Billy for all he did for this organization. But it is time for our organization to go in a new direction and with the fantasy draft coming up we are very excited to see the new look Brooklyn Nets."
When asked if he still plans on opening his wallet and doing whatever it takes for his team to win, Prokhorov responded: "I stand by my promise of doing whatever it takes to win a championship. With the NAH coming to form with new rosters and everything, I will make a new promise. If the Brooklyn Nets do not win an NAH title within 5 years, I will punish myself very harshly by getting married." - Bold words by Mr. Prokhorov
New Nets GM Dylan Mendelowitz was asked what his plan would be going into the fantasy draft, and said: "I'm not going to give out my strategy to anyone here, but we definitely are prepared and have a plan of what direction we would like to go in. We're hoping for a good draft pick position but regardless of where we land, we're prepared."
