I thought this was very interesting to see. To see how the defenses are around the league, based off of yesterday's sim. The fact that Boston and Brooklyn are the two best teams but aren't anywhere near the top 5 in defense, is very interesting to me. I based the standings on the far left by winning percentage overall.

Very interesting guy, if you see a complete stats teams with 18 categories with is curiosly best and worts in all categories points blocks free shoots etc. Is a form you understand better youe team. Stats 2 and 3 of players too. Thanks very good table.

Interesting data. That being said, this is a discussion I have had with many GM's over the years in different leagues. The only problem with those PPG / PAPG is that they do not take pace into account. That means that allowing fewer points does not necessarily mean better defense.
As for the Boston / Brooklyn comment, the winning margin percentage is a great measure: (PPG-PAPG) / max (PPG,PAPG). If you look at that, you can easily see why the Celtics and the Nets are that good.

It sounds about right that we're slightly above mid-pack in defense. We've been getting a lot better, but our system is built around offense, not defense.
