Portland is unlikely to secure a player of Drexler's stature in the dispersal draft. After learning that they would have the 21st selection in the first round (with 40th, 51st, 70th and 81st making up their first five picks), Portland's front office began re-evaluating their priorities for the early rounds in which they would hopefully be choosing their starting five for the NAH's inaugural season. At 21st, the Blazers can expect to get a player who is in the top five at his position with their second and third choices hopefully netting another two top ten players. Portland won't be home to any of the league's biggest stars this season (unless there's a trade), so the Blazers will be looking to draft a well-balanced team with two or three stars (as opposed to superstars) and good depth. "It'd be nice to get a Lebron, Durant or Howard to start the franchise but hopefully we can pick up three guys who are that next tier down and put a playoff calibre team out there next year," stated the Blazers new GM, Tim Wallis. "I think our draft position lends itself to going young in the draft and building towards a title two or three years down the track, but we intend to balance the youth with some veterans and give our fans a reason to continue their amazing support for this team as we enter a new era."

At least in the latter half of a round, you have some ability to project where to go. It's the teams that are in the middle who face the nastiest path.

I wanted Drummond to drop to me, nice pick. Don't fully understand the Marshall pick that early but I'm sure you have a plan. Looks like we are both rebuilding, cool.

Yeah I'll be going in with a super-young team in the first season. I still honestly think Marshall would have been gone by my 2nd pick. There aren't too many PGs with 80+ in PAS and HDL and we all saw the rush on the position. 21st was early but I think 40th would have been too late.

Yesh feel you could've done better at #21, but hey, never judge until the whole picture's done is what I always say.

I liked your moves really - Marshall was a tad early @ 21, but so was Lillard @ 20 - at least when it comes to current ratings. And Marshall looks pretty much like Rubio in a way potentially. So I think it was a pretty good move - especially considering how hard it is to get a great PG, but one that may require a couple of season before it comes to full fruition. Same applies to Drummond and Thompson.
Honestly, lottery looks imminent, but the upside is sweet, especially if you find some good wing scoring!

Like I've said in CSL, Marshall has elite floor general potentials, so he's absolutely a guy worth grabbing in the first round... especially if you're building a young roster like is the case here.

Tobias Harris was a great pick. It was hard deciding between him and Barnes for me in the third round.

Too young team but you could make a good run the next season! I think you failed picking Kendall in #21 But you will have a good team in some years!

Yeah, I'm looking to future seasons with this team, but I will add some veterans with my later picks and try to be competitive from the start. A lot of pressure on Kendall to justify the selection, but I did add a solid vet (and one of my favourite players) in Miller to back him up so hopefully Marshall's form doesn't have to make or break the team.
