Like Watching Paint Dry...Charlotte, NC
With the start of the Neon Age Hoops Re-Draft, so to speak about twenty-two hours ago...we've seen only nine selections made. Anthony Davis, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Love, and Deron Williams. Some surprise picks yes (in my opinion) but we've got to remember that these players aren't 100% based on their counterparts seen elsewhere.
General Manager Rich Cho, sits patiently, waiting for his selection...which seems very far away at 17th overall.
With the 17th overall pick, the Michael Jordan owned Charlotte Hornets could go either way when it comes to a win now mentality or a re-build type of mode...but owner Jordan has expressed that he feels the loyal fans of Charlotte, have waited long enough and gone through plenty of drafts to try and become a playoff team. With their only playoff appearance dating back to the Gerald Wallace era Bobcats back in 09-10, in which they were easily swept by Dwight Howard's Orlando Magic (who eventually lost to the Boston Celtics in the Conference Finals...only to have Boston lose in 7 games to the eventual Champs, the Los Angeles Lakers).
With NBA Legend, Michael Jordan, counting on management to build a team to win now, it puts a lot of weight on the shoulders of Rich Cho and his staff. We can only see and hope...for a new era of Charlotte basketball. Until then...back to watching paint dry.

It's going to be fun to see you put together a win-now roster, particularly since it seems like most GMs so far are taking more of a long-range approach and going for a combination of youth and talent rather than just pure talent (bar the AI choices we just saw).
