Philadelphia Freedom: Sixers Season Review
After coming into the position days before the trade deadline, I felt this team was already in a good place record-wise and competitively... We finished 49-33 and were 3rd in a Division that features Kevin Durant and of course LeBron James and the reigning NAH Champion Boston Celtics and we feel Dwyane Wade is just as much of a premiere player as those guys are so we felt the moves needed were minimal considering the amount of time and we were able to pull off the Danny Granger deal... Well Danny came in and performed really well for us but realistically we were fighting an uphill battle considering the amount of talent in this Division alone makes it an extreme challenge that we fully accept and unfortunately we were eliminated in the 1st Rd of the Playoffs against a tough Brooklyn Nets squad so we'll reassess our position going into the Draft then FA... Well our PG position was a mixed bag as we alternated between D Wade and Eric Bledsoe (10pts/ 4rebs/ 1stl) and that's been addressed with our offseason move of acquiring Kirk Hinrich... Dwyane Wade (22pts/ 6rebs/ 5asts/ 2blks/ 2stls) was stellar for us playing both G positions and Danny Granger (18pts/ 5rebs/ 1stl) was good for us at the F spot. Kevin Seraphin (10 pts/ 7rebs/ 2asts) played well for us at both the PF and C position while Tiago Splitter was great for us now although he is a FA... We were able to gauge where we are as a franchise and what we feel we'll be able to accomplish with the season now complete and having a better feel for the League and what we're up against and I like our chances and where we are currently but will also be looking to make whatever moves deemed necessary to improve our team...
Alright thanks guys.
