* The expansion teams will pick 4th and 5th in the rookie draft, with the order yet to be determined. Normal lottery between the 9 non-playoff teams will take place, and then the two expansion teams will be placed in 4th and 5th slots.

Does that mean the top 3 can slide all the way to 6th? That would hurt for those sub-20 win teams.

Actually 8th? If three lower seeded teams jumped to 1-3, then the expansion teams, then the three sub-20 teams in slots 6 to 8. Ouch!

I think that's just how it is when an expansion team enters. Just a bit rougher as there are two this season.

Yeah, and the fact that there are three teams who are clearly the worst. Plus there are really only two franchise players in the draft. Just really bad luck for any of those teams that slip. Sixers are obviously most at risk, with just one leaper relegating them to a pick outside the top 5. Not saying it's unfair, just a potentially tragic outcome for those three teams.

I think Sixers and Kings have franchise players already on the team...they just need quality glue guys to turn it around. Jazz are really needed to get Mourning I think. I am liking having two of top 15 picks...I really see me getting quality players in this draft. Plus I have three 2nd round picks. I will try my best to make five players out of this draft, and have a "Fab 5" bench to throw out onto court together next year! If Pistons 8th pick somehow grabs the #1 or #2 slot, the Bucks will be puking! ljw SAS

True, and there should be good glue guys available in the back half of the top ten, so all good for those teams I guess. The Jazz though...hopefully they don't slide out of the top two.

I'm still going to try and coerce whomever's at #2 for the 'Finger waver'. Just hope it is a GM owned squad...to at least make the attempt with. Or maybe I sell everything for next year's draft....try and land Shaq..and then trade the team with Mutumbo!?!??! Decisions Decisions! ljw SAS

Detroit owns our second round pick in this years draft and our 1st round pick in 1993. Bucks have pick 8 in the 92 lottery

As for the lottery, we are running the very same system since we started, so all lottery teams can finish everywhere from #1 to #11, with the exception of slots #4 and #5. Of course, probabilities are different.

Yeah, rough year to have a high pick. We didn't expect to be so bad again this year, but #5 would sure be a lot better than #7.

Hah, this luck is incredible. But maybe I can get an actual star this time around. Two consecutive #1s hasn't gotten me out of the lottery yet. We stink.

I agree, but I was thinking the same even with Bedford inside, but we're obviously missing a lot to be playing so poorly.

Wow, that is one nice haul. The only good thing for new jersey that they all arent stars is at keast they can likely afford to resign them all when the time comes.
