Spurs org making a push to be defensive minded, and started last year, but still lack any defense in the backcourt. Although several guys in this draft were never going to make it down to 1-13 that San Antonio really coveted, there were two remaining players that were on our list that we would grab if still on the board. Given one is a duplicate player to a drafted rookie in our roster last year, we made the obvious selection for our team......which the mock had right btw. With the 1-13 selection in the 1993 GAH Draft, San Antonio Spurs select:Bruce Bowen, from Cal-State Fullerton (no that isn't a prison facility)
We hope to have a defensive stalwart that can be plugged in to hinder the scoring threats amongst the GAH SF-SG regimen. He will probably never be seen in the boxscore...unless you look at the box of the opposing player he matched up with. Hope to have this kind of player be around for a long time...to defend the current scorers, and be ready to defend the future talents that come into the GAH: Thanks! ljw SAS

Expected pick, as the Spurs have been complaining for ages about opposing wings scoring at will.

Nice choice, with a decent 3 point shot too if he decides to shoot.

Pretty much knew this was going to happen, it just made too much sense for you I am hoping he can maybe slow BJ down to less then 2 pts per minute played against my Spurs! Still have to make some good moves to change the culture more. ljw SAS
