With the 19th pick in the 1993 GAH Draft, the Atlanta Hawks select forward Lorenzo Williams from Stetson. At 6'9 and 200 lbs, Williams can play all three frontcourt positions. His selling card is defense. He is a very good shotblocker, something that will help Atlanta as bringing back both Muggsy Bogues and Benoit Benjamin seems financially unlikely for the team, and Bogues is clearly the priority. Williams handles are good enough to allow him to play at the three, which will provide even more versatility for the squad. To some, he reminds former Hawk Charles Jones. On the offensive end, though, the story is completely different. Not only is Williams a player that barely shoots, but his shooting form is also suspect. This was the only draft pick the Hawks had in this draft, so the team attention turns now to the free agent market, where not only do they need to bring back some players, but also to use their exceptions wisely in order to make a run at the title. It is rumoured also that a trade involving team captain Tyrone Corbin could be announced once renouncements are processed by the league's office.

I didn't scout this guy but he sounds like a good piece for the Hawks.

I was debating between this Williams and the one I picked. I gave up the shot blocking ability in Lorenzo for Scott's defense and stealing skills.
