Question......since the old method with player FAs was to send in the signing offer to a player to be approved along with the eventual trade to a new team and the players in return, how does the CPU work? Does a team simply try and sign the player in FA like normal..and if he does sign with original team, we simply then submit a trade offer of that player alone to another team with the players/picks involved? Just wondering how that plays out given the normal rule for a signed FA is: A player signed as a free agent in the offseason must wait a 90-day period from the start of the regular season until he can be tradedIf what I assume above is correct, Does the S&T have to occur right after the signing, and posted BEFORE the next sim in FA? Or could say a player be signed, and then five FA sims later, be traded to another team under the S&T rules? Ex. Spurs decide to resign Vern Fleming (should have 3yrs bird) to a five year deal in FA sim 5.....and then desires to trade him in FA sim 10 to New Jersey for Dikembe Mutumbo. Would this be allowed as a S&T? Thanks! Lon

It's been a very long day and just have energy to run the sim. I'll look at it tomorrow and in case it's something new I'll discuss this with Tim and come with an answer.

Case 1: The player who is signed-and-traded belongs to the human team. In that case, the usual S&T procedure is applied.
Case 2: The player who is signed-and-traded belongs to the CPU team. We need to think about this. An answer will come in the following days.
