With the 24th pick, the San Antonio Spurs decision is: PASS
We select no player.....and relinquish the pick.
"The Spurs org after a successful season are truly in a total rebuild phase. Only four players(1 starter) and 9m on roster. We don't see any players in this draft at this stage worth a guaranteed contract.....and will opt to use the cap space in FA for rebuilding this team from ground up."
Thanks! ljw SAS

This is not allowed. Since we switched to in-game financials, all first round selections are tied to a guaranteed contract. The only way to avoid paying that contract is to trade the pick or to trade whoever you draft with this pick.

Spurs GM once again not understanding the rules.......so we are coming to the podium: With the 24th pick of the GAH draft, San Antonio selects: Lawrence Funderburke, Ohio StateA highly touted high school basketball player, Funderburke played one season at Indiana, and couldn't get along with coach Bobby Knight, so he moved to Ohio State and was very successful teaming with Jim Jackson. Has some offensive skills.....and at times can show up as a defender/rebounder, but attitude is the big issue. Can he accept a role that might not put him in the spotlight? (If he couldn't mesh with Knight, not sure how Popovich will be any different?) ljw SAS

Good role player. I had some interest in him and there was the chance to make a deal with one of the teams picking at the end of the first round to get him.
