Losing Malcolm Mackey is never what the Knicks intended but his minutes are very limited at the moment but every time he has has been called upon he has given outstanding minutes 9.0 pts, 7.3 Rebs and 1.2 Blks are very good per $$$ numbers.
Gaining the offensive punch of Harold Miner is going to take some scoring pressure off some of the Knicks Superstars

Nets agree. Miner is not getting the minutes he needs to develop his defense, sitting behind Gill and Scott, but I can't see benching those guys long-term. Mackey gives us a body to shore up the big rotation, and the pick will give us something in return for Miner, though probably not nearly the talent back in return.

Trade is not valid because both teams are over the salary cap and the difference in salaries is larger than 25 %.
