Spurs lose to Lakers 85-116. I hate to say it wasn't even that "close". Gatling two fouls in first 90 seconds of game set the stage to the blowout. We turned it over 23/6....and had 27 less shot attempts. Michael Adams with a terrible game...might need to replace him....don't think we could do worse. Also, we have to play Sampson and PJBrown on sprained toes......losing by 30 without them...it can't get much worse. Cavs lose by five 88-93 against Hawks. Culmination of poor FT shooting in the 4th Q specifically (43% for the game), and my two top scorers not showing up, makes me feel that we might be able to compete. Tarpley/Anderson combined 3/14 shooting first half..and Anderson added another 1/7 shooting in the 3rdQ alone. He hit four 3pts in the fourth, but still ended 6/18 for thegame. Tarpley was 3/11. Lastly, I seen I didn't get breathers in the right times for Stockton....he was almost completely gassed in the last 4 mins..and it showed with missed FTs and missed drives. He had a very good game otherwise with 21pts 12asts 3stls in 42mins. Slight changes coming to hopefully steal one at Atlanta. We didn't think we had to worry about...Morlon Wiley!!! ljw SAS/CLV

Blazers now without 3 starters (Starks joining Walker and Bowie) and a key reserve (Carr). Can't handle Shaq without Bowie and Conner looking past it at PG. Feels like a poor end to the season coming up.
Sixers struggled in their opener as well with no answer for the Pacers' twin towers.

Big first up win as we dominate at home 113-75.
Got a good spread of scoring but our defense was stellar and we crushed the Clippers on the boards. Lost Hornacek for 11 days though so might need to pull him out.
