We got a 2-0 lead in a game where both teams played good defense. We won 90-74 thanks to free throws and the difference in turnovers.
Barkley: 27 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal. Gill: 12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals. Rogers: 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal. Wiley: 10 points, 2 steals, 1 assist, 1 rebound. Garrett: 11 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal.
Now the series move to Cleveland. If we can win one of the next two, that will be great. A tough task, though.

I stupidly forgot to fix the Blazers depth chart and Starks played. Season just about done for Portland, down 2-0 with the action moving to Sacramento.
Philly got a game 2 win thanks to Abdul-Rauf, Ellison, Strickland,Sabonis and a 21 point effort from McCloud in just 11 minutes (8/9 field goals, 5/5 threes).

Spurs played about as well as they could offensively in 1st..even with a 4minute FG drought...to be up 34-30 after one. The bad part is Lakers were in bonus at 7min mark..and made 10/10 FTs to be right with us. We extended the lead 62-46 by half...even with Gatling out at the 7 1/2 min mark, and Elliot at the 6 1/2 minute mark, with 3 fouls. Gatling had 17pts in 13mins in first half. 3rdQ we seemed to be letting it go...but still held 11point lead into fourth. The 4thQ had both teams with hard nosed defense...but Spurs prevailed 100-83. We only scored 38 second half points, but Lakers had only 37. Gatling with 21pts 12rebs in only 23 mins. If we can keep him on the court, that might be our key. Sampson played great on sprained toe.....more than we could expect. We really cleaned the glass up well..allowing only 6off rebs. I think Winston Garland was our MVP...limiting the turnovers the Laker team thrives on. Glad to grab one game away....hopefully home court we get some fouls called our way...to compete again in the next two. Not many times though so many Laker players will be 'off' the way they were this game (Rivers 1/10) McMillan(3/10) Harper(2/8) ******* Absolutely comical game the Cavs play....after starting 1st 28-17, and hold Hawks to 3/20 shooting in 1st....we score only 26 points entire 2nd half, and lose by 16. Roy Tarpley played a total of 5 minutes until the 7minute mark in the 4th. After 1stQ, team shot 18/57 FG, and 1/21 3pt.
And now Stockton is dinged...so this series appears to be over before it even started. He must have hurt it early in game, as in 32mins, he was 2/10 (1/8 3pt) and only 2 assists!!!! That probably is going to happen with the injury next two games.
Not sure how we start hot even without Tarpley allowed to play..and then every player goes cold. We hold Hawks to 41%FG and 15% 3pt and thats a 16 point loss?!?!? eegad....fat lady can start singing!ljw SAS/CLV

Thanks! That's pretty good, grabbing one on the road. I'll have to see if I can get a chance to download and tweak the lineup if necessary.

Didn't have time to get Hornacek out but secured the 2-0 lead with an 18 point win.
Love having Smits back as he drops 31 in this game. Oliver Miller has been great with 10, 15 and 1 in game and now 21, 13 and 3.
