Another game where defenses prevailed, but we were able to win at Cleveland, 95-85.
Gill: 23 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal. Barkley: 21 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks. Barry: 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks.
Let's see if we can keep this level of defense in game four.

Blazers turned it over 23 times and sent the Kings to the line 45 times. Probably did well to get within 7pts under those circumstances. Curry was good. Conner got hurt, so rookie Eric Snow will be the only PG available for Game 4.
Sixers won in Indiana to get back HCA. All the starters did well.

Spurs forget the term 'defense' in game three. Lakers shoot 62% 1stQ for a 34--17 lead. They stay at 61%FG by half....up to 65%FG at ned of 3rdQ..and finish shooting 56%. Down 17 after firstQ, just too much to overcome. The guards that struggled in game 2 (Rivers/McMillan/Harper) shoot 15/22 in this one. Only thing we can take from this is we outscored LAL the final three Qs combined. Need to find a way to not let the bleeding start out of the gate. Sampson back to full strength...maybe that'll help.
So much for home court advantage for the Cavs. Anderson and Tarpley both out of 1st again before the nine minute mark...and Hawks already in the penalty. Despite that, Hinson steps up and has 16 first half points. We shot 54% in the first half to be up 52-46. Then the wheels fall off again. We shoot 3/20 FG in 3rd Q, and four points in final 5 1/2 minutes. Stockton is 1/9 FG by end of 3rd, and we are down five points 64-69. 4thQ we just just fouled our way to defeat. Atlanta scores 16 points from the FT line. Stockton ends 2/11. Anderson as well couldn't stop Gill and Barry from driving to the basket for layups. We don't seem to have an oar in the water...the refs are taking us out of the ballgames.
