With the first selection in the 1998 GAH Draft the Philadelphia 76ers select forward Kevin Garnett. The 76ers, right now run by the GAH Commission, believe Garnett is the best player in the class and will help the first ever franchise to win a GAH title go back to relevance. At 6'11" and 240 lbs, Garnett, who skipped college, has the ability to play all three frontcourt positions. He has shown great skills on both ends of the court: can score at will, dominates the boards and knows what to do when he is on the court.

two horse race......with either of the two even odds to be picked 1-2 in my opinion. Arvydas and Pervis being supplanted by Garnett and Keith Van Horn...although last year's 3rd overall pick VanHorn only played 3mpg in rookie season. ljw SAS

Yah, hard to not take Garnett here. One of those franchise changing picks. I'm glad he's out East.
