With the 1990/1991 season underway, and big changes in the league, it seems the New Jersey Nets have decided to turn over a new leaf. Discarding the logo they have had since the inaugural GAH season, the Nets unveiled a new logo today. Critics might say the team is trying to distract the fans from the poor performance on the court this season, or that they wanted to debut the new logo to coincide with Kemp's return from a broken ankle. After a dismal season last year, Kemp has been the draw for fans who might otherwise stay away, but excitement over the new logo and uniforms may draw them back. (You can look at this picture if you want to see one of the rejected designs for uniforms. Oh hell no.)

I actually really like this Nets jersey set. Better than the garbage the Brooklyn ones wear now.
