With the third overall pick in the 1991 GAH draft, the Memphis Pyramids select Dale Davis from Clemson. At 6'11" and 230 lbs, Davis can play both the power forward and center spots, and will provide Memphis with different options both on the court and in the office, as Tom Chambers and Anthony Mason are hitting the market this summer. Davis is a low usage player on offense who could make an impact on the defensive end. He is a hustler who never runs out of energy, with great work ethic and who will be loved by fans. He scores most of his points on second chance attempts, combining a great instinct on the boards and a great efficiency near the rim.

A surprise pick to me, considering some of the players still on the board. But he does bring some frontcourt toughness, which every team needs.
