We are just outside the top 8 ..want to make improvements but only if it make sense ..I think longley as ranger said will help our t.o issues a bit but he is younger so it allows us to develope him too if we can resign him

Massive move by Indiana.
I can see the logic of why they made that deal but personally I would have kept Robinson as he is by far the best player in the deal.
Will be interesting to see how much this pushes Utah up into the elite teams in the west. As for the Pacers I think they will play magic at the 3 - which means they still need a point guard.
If Indiana win a championship with this move then it is job done. But if they slide as Hakeem gets older this could be a defining move for the franchise. Hopefully it wokrs out for both teams.

Smart move, I think, for Indiana. Mourning plus whoever else they can now sign should have as big an impact on the team as Robinson does. For Utah, they've got the cap space, so why not go for the gold. With free agency now there's no telling if you can keep a franchise player longterm, so Robinson now may be worth more than Mourning in the future.

A big move. Robinson is better, but Mourning is younger.

I like that deal for both teams nets get a top point guard and Vancouver get a defensive post player to help pippen.

Just for the record ... I tried to get Mutombo, but I was told yesterday he was going to another team. Then I logged in today with the intention of making an offer for Blaylock ...

Ouch, sorry Manu, lol. We had a lot of offers for Mutombo, some good ones. This one was pricier or us, moving the pick, but I feel like gives us the best pieces back. We've tried to get by with a serviceable point for a long time now, and put our stars at other positions, but I don't think it's worked. I'm excited to see what Mookie can do for us, and I like Norman a lot. Sorry to see Mutombo go, but I feel like Bedford can do 75% of what Dikembe does, and score as well, so hopefully won't be a big dropoff for us as a team.

No issues at all. Blaylock is better than anything I could offer.

This has been the busiest trade deadline for a while! Vancouver I think are looking in good shape now.
Nets moving on and I think mookie will do well there.
For Seattle we have a big three in smith Jackson and pippen it will be interesting to see how they do together.

Blazer go on a hot streak as I get into deep trade negotiations and scare me off making a move. Then once the deadline passes, they fall apart.

Grizzlies finished with 19 wins 10 loses after they traded out Scottie Pippen and Mookie Blaylock.
It wasn't all great I couldn't find productive roles for Paul Pressey who averaged only 5.5pts with his new team or Harvey Grant who averaged only 2.3 minutes for 1.5 pts. I also lost any input due to lack of minutes from the original Grizzlies which was disappointing from the GM.
Drazen Petrovic: 21.8 Pts, 3.7 Reb, 3 Ast, 0.7 Stl, 0.1 Blk Michael Adams: 14.7 Pts, 2.4 Reb, 8.3 Ast, 1.2 Stl, 0.2 Blk Sarunas Marciulionis: 14.7 Pts, 3.2 Reb, 1.9 Ast, 1.1 Stl, 0.2 Blk Sam Perkins: 13.6 Pts, 7.9 Reb, 2.1 Ast, 1.1 Stl, 1 Blk Isaac Austin: 9.1 Pts, 5.4 Reb, 1.3 Ast, 0.6 Stl, 0.8 Blk Dikembe Mutombo: 7.9 Pts, 11.5 Reb, 1.5 Ast, 0.8 Stl, 3.3 Blk Darrell Walker: 5.3 Pts, 2.2 Reb, 3.5 Ast, 0.7 Stl, 0.4 Blk
Overall the Trade gave Vancouver much needed depth and with 2 First Round Selections in the up coming draft hopefully we can hit a couple of future All Stars.
**Stats are for the 29 Games with Grizzlies**

**Stats are for the 29 Games with Grizzlies**Nice bold moves...but proved to be successful short term. No doubt it should make them better long term....unless the Spurs get Mutumbo to come down to Texas! We have buckets of money to spend next year! Grunter staking his claim as one of the elite GMs.....as his Knicks are probably the biggest turnaround/surprise success stories this year. Keep up the good work! ljw SAS

That trade really worked out well for you, particularly with Adams and Perkins contributing so well. Both are favorites of mine, so I'll watch how they do with interest.
Blaylock played great for us after some initial strat changes. He can pour it in, gets the assists and never turns it over. I love it. Norman also exceeded expectation, playing great at SF. Their presence didn't seem to change our team play, however, so it's going to take more than those moves for us, unfortunately.

Yeah that trade killed Seattle's depth in a way I would not have thought possible. Which knocked us out of the playoffs. But we have our pick and a new free agency next year will mean Seattle come back much stronger. Core is there just needs the bench.

I feel that gsw needs some change after being with ewing for a long time, ewing too needs some new environment, even with all those accolades i knew this team needs something to restart with, and that huge contract getting traded will give gsw some cap relief. I dont have any plans on resigning ewing after he expires the following season so i better get something in return for his old ass in sprewell, that 1st is just 1 season theres always another seasons coming for another 1st, and i have another deal for gsw that will allow the team to get another youth which was halted when the trade was denied lol. Anyway, no worries hehe gsw is just my caretaker team, funny thing i havent made a deal yet for my main team. 😆
