The Nets made one move in free agency, besides bringing back Michael Adams and Sam Perkins, and that was bringing in long-time office favorite Paul Pressey. A player the management has loved since he was in college, and are excited to finally bring in. And at the right time too. With the team planning on putting Kendall Gill in the starting role at shooting guard, having a veteran like Pressey around to back up both him and youngster Dennis Scott at small forward should make this team much more solid.
It's a small move, with one of the bigger ones being #2 overall pick Dikembe Mutombo expected to start at center. Pushing a talented William Bedford to the bench, Mutombo should pair up with Kemp to perform one of the most interesting duos in the paint. Kemp has both offensive and defensive prowess, and Dikembe should prove almost impossible to score on. With teams worrying about these two, the Nets hope they sleep on Dennis Scott and Fat Lever, who can definitely score from the outside.
The Nets lineup will likely look like this:
Point Guard - Fat Lever / Michael Adams
Shooting Guard - Kendall Gill / Paul Pressey
Small Forward - Dennis Scott / Charles Oakley
Power Forward - Shawn Kemp / Sam Perkins
Center - Dikembe Mutombo / William Bedford
Deep Bench: Jim Paxson, John Paxson, Olden Polynice, Tim Perry, Alaa Abdelnaby

'Skilled' players on paper in every place. Next step to get a rotation that has on-court success. Good Luck!

A team I'll definitely watch with interest with former Blazers Pressey and Perkins, plus former Sixer Lever..not to mention Mutombo and Kemp. Cool team.

That frontcourt has potential to build a champion team around them.
