Bulls select Kyrie Irving with their first pick Irving couldn't wait to wear his new Bulls #2 jersey Following division rivals' picking up Deron Williams (DET at #9) and Ricky Rubio (MIL at #15), and as later on was learned Damian Lillard (IND at #20), the Bulls had it clear they didn't want to stay behind in this particular PG battle. With still a bunch of great PGs available at #16, we finally decided to go with 20 year old Irving. After just one year of profesional experience he's proven to be more than ready for the league, and we think he has the potential to be one of the greatest players in this league for lots of years to come. We've already started working out a plan to get him under the system that best fits him, and surround him with the best pieces to make this a top team in the league. But don't get confused by his young age, as we don't plan to start a long rebuilding plan here in Chicago. The goal it's to be competitive from season one, and that's the path will follow.

Bulls bring back fan favourite Joakim Noah Bull's fans were as excited as Noah was after the pick was madeAfter acquiring the brain of the team, our focus immediately turned into protecting the paint. We narrowed the list to a pair of players once our turn to pick arrived, and Noah finally made the team. This organization already know what Joakim brings to the team on a nightly basis: effort, hustle, rebounding, defense... heart! He's also a great locker room guy, a player that makes 'team', as we all know from the years he's been part of this organization. We expect a great rebounding year for him and also defensively, as always, while also contributing offensively. He's not known for that, as people tend to forget how efficient he also is on the offensive end of the floor.

DeAndre Jordan also headed to Chicago Jordan brings more centimeters to Bulls frontcourt Bulls surprise with their 3rd round pick by getting another center in DeAndre. The original plan was to draft SF Harrison Barnes (you're welcome OP ) with our third round pick, but it happened that the player that made us doubt in the 2nd round was still available for us 30 picks later. So finally the chance of pairing up both Noah and Jordan made us take another direction. Looking at how plenty of other teams have already locked their frontcourt duo, our pick makes a little bit more sense too. We love how DeAndre operates mainly in the paint, shooting the high percentage dunk shoot, making him an offensive threat. Meanwhile his strengths come defensively: great rebounder, defender and shoot blocker. The first idea is that Jordan will play all his minutes at center, while Noah will operate mainly at PF, while also playing the backup center minutes while not playing together.

The problem I have with DeAndre is that he's a moron, and while you can get away more easily with low IQ for big men in 3 it seems, it's still one of those small factors that could tip a postseason in your opponent's favor.

Yeah, his low IQ was a concern, but hopefully defense, rebounding, shooting% and blocking pays off more than that. Barnes was a great fit in terms of that, but I really though that on the big stage we could be a better team with DeAndre that with Harrison. Obviously I might be wrong, I'll learn from it if doesn't work out, but I thought it was worth a try

I dunno if the low IQ is too huge a factor, he's always been efficient and whatnot in every league I've been in.

It's not the regular season that's the issue. It's the playoffs.

Damn Kyrie looks good in a Bulls uniform lol. Nice frontline in Noah/Jordan, and I'm really glad you decided to skip on Barnes haha.

Courtney Lee joins the Bulls Lee is headed to Chicago to play alongside Kyrie Irving We knew Courtney was our guy short after picking DeAndre the previous round. The only question mark was wether he was going to be available or not at #105 for us, as he finally did. With him we bring great defense and nice shooting. He's not a scorer, but you don't want to leave him open cause he'll make you pay. We really think he'll be a great SG to play along Kyrie, helping the team mainly against the great scoring opposing SGs. So we're glad he's already part of the Bulls organization, and on a nice multiyear contract.

Nice pick for sure. Hoping he'd last till round 5 was nothing more than a pipe dream.

I'm a big fan of Courtney 'D', one of the glue guys that helped me to reach the NSL Finals despite having a team full of rookies and no PG on the team. His contract is really good, btw

Budinger to fill last starting spot for the Bulls Chase will help spread the floor and provide the much liked shooting touchHe's in the last year of his contract, but at this stage we prefer having him and trying to lock him out in summer than going for another player under contract. We already had some nice defending group of players, and as Uncle Drew always remind us: 'It's all about buckets!' So we went after Chase to try to spread the floor for Kyrie and our bigs.

Nice, good size and a nice outside shot. Solid. This team is similar to Jestor's Lakers, role playing 3&D wings, star PG's with strong front courts (yours is more defensive minded, his offensive minded).
My only concern is that there is precious little ball handling/playmaking outside of Irving. The team will rely heavily on him to create.

Nice selection to round out your roster. I'm liking the starting five overall, though the team may lack some scoring before Kyrie fully develops into that #1 option.

Yeah, TOs could be a problem for this team, and that's the exact opposite pole to Jestorball and the Lakers. Hopefully our defense (specially) and rebounding stands upon that and gives us the plus we're looking for to win ballgames. This team will be focused on D, while also trying to get the high% shoot. So after spending our first three picks getting a PG and the frontcourt duo, we needed those type of wings for this team. Pretty happy I was able to land Lee in the 4th round, he should be a key player in this roster. His defense fits us great, while he knows how to shoot the ball too. Picking him allowed to go for Budinger at SF rather than another defensive minded guy with pour shooting.

A good defensive unit. Will be interesting to see what kind of bench you put together.

Sanders to add more defense off the bench Larry will help protecting protecting the rim for his new team We think Sanders is a pretty good pick to add at #165 in the dispersal draft. With his acquisition, we'll probably run a 3 man frontcourt rotation, with Jordan playing center, Noah starting at PF but also playing center while DeAndre is resting, and Sanders playing big PF minutes coming from the bench. We'll need to draft another PF/C later on, but just to fill the minutes that could and will appear if injuries come.

Mills, Randolph to lead the second unit Two exciting new players for the Bulls roster Our 7th pick might have been surprising after picking Sanders with our 6th one. The idea was to run a 3 man frontcourt rotation, but you can't just play the whole season with that. Going from there, we liked the idea of getting Randolph, and when #196 arrived with him yet to be picked we didn't think it twice. Our thought was that we could've been gone by next round, while the possibilities we were contemplating for our backourt second unit could still be there. And so it happened, after we were still able to select Patrick Mills at #225. Mill's can definitely run the point, while we do like his shooting touch for a PG. He might lack the defensive effort yet, but we're OK with that for our backup PG. So really excited to pair these two with Sanders for our second unit

Bulls welcome back Marco Belinelli Belinelli will provide the shooting touch we needed off the bench
Marco is headed back to the Bulls, where he played not long ago. He'll join Noah as former Bulls in this team, and also as the second European on the roster. Belinelli will come off the bench in a role where we think he could be really productive. He's also a personal favourite of the GM, and a safe pick for us at #256.
