The New York Knicks just finished their preseason with a 9-1 record and no injuries to report. The offense seem to click from the very 1st game but it was their defense that impressed me so I am very optimistic about the this season.
Here's a look at the starting five:
The center piece of the New York Knicks offense and defense center Dwight Howard. The Knicks need to keep Howard healthy and not burn him out it's a long season with Joel Anthony and Kenyon Martin as backups Howard will not be asked to play 40 mins a game.
David Lee one of the better defensive PF's in the game he does have a good offensive game too but Knicks wanted him for his rebounding ability.
The Knicks had a glaring hole at the small forward position after the draft but Richard Jefferson was claimed off the free agents list before preseason started and their glad they have him. He gives us a true three point threat.
Jordan Crawford proved in preseason he is the Knicks starting shooting guard.
Kyle Lowry one of the better up and coming point guards in the game he loves to dish the ball to his teammates and he can create his own points off the dribble.
6th man Andrea Bargnani the Knicks decided before preseason Bargnani would come off the bench and he did not disappoint avg. 16 points a game with only 20 mins playing time.
