Dear all,
First of all, do not get afraid by the content of this post ... the GAH is not going to close.
As you may have noticed, this season simming has not been as regular and timely as it used to be. As an example, I was supposed to sim game two of the Finals yesterday, but I couldn't. Since we started this journey, back in 2011, I have been able to keep things on schedule most of the time ... until recently. Those of you who are in my age range (mid 30's) will probably understand. As we get old we have more real life responsibilities, obligations and also unexpected events happen more frequently. As a result, keeping things on schedule here becomes more difficult.
I think we are in a good position as a league, with the influx of new GM's we have had in the last weeks. As of now, all teams have a GM or a caretaker, which is great for the GAH. So we will keep this journey because I think it is worth the effort, but I kindly ask you all to be patient and understand the situation: there may be days where I won't be able to sim. I hope to still sim four or five days a week, but I just can't guarantee that anymore.
Unless something else comes up, I will sim game two of the Finals this afternoon, and in the coming days we will start also contract decisions and scouting (draft lottery will take place soon). In addition to the previous reasons, I also want to give the new GM's some extra time to make decisions on their rosters (who to keep, renounce, etc ...).
Sincerely,
Manu.
