2-0 sim. But we suffer our first major injury: Jay Humphries is out with a broken foot for 54 days.
W vs Seattle, 111-85: Humphries breaks his foot early in this one and we still manage to blow out the Sonics. Tarpley was the player of the game with 23 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. Brian Williams had 20 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 block.
W @ Boston, 117-107: This was a great game. 32 lead changes and all the stars had big games. Tarpley was the player of the game with 27 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.
Terry Porter is the starter for the next 2 months. Not sure what I'm going to do about the backup PG spot for now. I just hope we can manage to keep playing well until Humphries gets back. His numbers haven't been too impressive but our defense has been improved and I'm sure he's a factor into Tarpley's hot start.

1-1 in a double header against the Nets. We struggle to play good ball away from home. The positive is Gary Payton is shining as a scoring point gaurd but he needs help.

We appear to be going nowhere. I'm going to put my young guys back in the starter spots and try to develop them as fast as we can. I think Dennis can be deadly, and decent on defense, when fully developed, and I need Kemp to hit his stride as soon as possible.

I was shifting him to play both spots off the bench, see if that worked any better. But without getting into the sub matrix I can't really guarantee his minutes that way. Just going to have to take my lumps and struggle for a bit while these guys develop. This is why I don't usually build through the draft!

Reggie Miller 69pts Glen Rice 46pts in W vs Philly Holy Crap! Combined for 41/75 field goals, 26/51 three pointers, 115 points to the Sixers 113. Brad Davis had 16 assists and Scott Brooks another 13. The Sixers actually shot better (47/80 and 8/13 from three) but coughed up the ball too much and just couldn't stop the rain of triples from Rice and Miller. Amazing game! The Sixers may be the worst defensive outfit ever, which is weird because their individual players aren't terrible defensively. They're just either not in their best position or being let down by teammates who are not in their best position. Trade needed desperately.
