With the 13th overall pick in the 1992 GAH Draft, the Atlanta Hawks select Hubert Davis from North Carolina.
The Tar Heel is a pure shooter, something the Hawks wanted to add to their roster after being knocked out by the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the playoffs. At 6'5" and 183 lbs, Davis has ideal size for the shooting guard position. A hard worker who never takes a game off, Davis could be the missing piece for the Hawks on their road to contention. The team has a busy summer ahead, as key players such as Charles Barkley, Vlade Divac and Tyrone Corbin are looking for new contracts. With that scoring power inside, Atlanta could really benefit of having a pure shooter on the team, as it did with Dale Ellis a couple of seasons ago.
